HOW LONG HAS SPWA BEEN OFFERING SUPPORT COORDINATION SERVICES?
Though we've been serving people with disabilities and their families for over 25 years, we officially began as a NJ Support Coordination Agency in early July 2015.
HOW IS YOUR AGENCY DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS?
We work as a team at SPWA. The Support Coordinator is never alone. The team is comprised of the individual, family, Support Coordinator, Supervisor, & Director. We collaborate on each individual's support needs & find ways to maximize support.
HOW COMFORTABLE IS YOUR AGENCY IN IMPLEMENTING EITHER THE SUPPORTS AND/OR CCP PROGRAM?
Very comfortable. We pride ourselves in staying abreast on any and all Division changes that impact support services for our individuals and their families. We are quite familiar and comfortable with the requirements and/or mandates of both programs.
DOES SPWA APPROVE THEIR OWN NJISPS?
Yes, SPWA has been released to approve their own plans. That means we can be more responsive to the needs of the individuals we serve. There is no real wait time for a support and/or service plan change.
HOW RESPONSIVE IS SPWA TO THE INDIVIDUALS THEY SERVE?
Very responsive. Individuals and/or families can expect a return call within 24 hours.
IS THERE SOMEONE THAT CAN BE REACHED IN THE EVENT OF AN URGENT MATTER WHEN THE SUPPORT COORDINATOR IS INACCESSIBLE?
Yes, if unable to reach the Support Coordinator, the Supervisor and/or Director are very much available.

We're very flexible. Telephone, fax, snail mail, email, and web conferencing are all options.
